Katherine Heigl shares how growing up as a child in a 'white bubble' has impacted the way that she parented her adopted multiracial family. In recent episodes of "Firefly Lane", "Grey's Anatomy" and "Grey's Anatomy" actor Katherine Heigl admitted she was not concerned about her complexion until she met her adopted sister from South Korea. Meg was asked if her treatment was different in the times they went out with their parents and then the time they were on their own. Meg responded "Oh I do, each and every occasion!" Heigl said to Parents, "That made me realise that I had been so ignorant." The actor said she became upset, but she felt that she had use that anger to help adopt her daughters. Heigl has a son who is 4 year with Josh Kelley, her husband over the last 13 years. Their child Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009; Adalaide is a Black 8-year-old girl who they adopted in 2012.
